Holy shit. I know. Lenticular clouds over Mount Fuji, Japan. These are stationary lens-shaped clouds that form at high altitudes, usually perpendicular to the direction of the wind. Nature can be pretty extraordinary yeah?
I love this city. Although settling here is no longer an option. After a week of being a sale agent, I decided that I have strained enough of my personal relationships to go on. It can be seen as quite an unethical way of selling products to be honest. Nevertheless, I had a wonderful time here so far and with Ashley coming in a few days, I can’t wait to experience that ridiculous luxury by staying at Marina Bay Sands. That’s probably the sole reason why I linger here for so long. It has been on my bucket list since forever, finally I’ll be able to cross it off in a few days. That would be a very satisfying moment indeed.
My mum will be arriving in a few hours. Moving out of Ray’s tomorrow afternoon and into some middle class hotel called Grand Pacific. It is right in the heart of Singapore so I can’t complain. Luckily I will be covering the MacRitchie trail with some other travellers very very soon. Adventures always sound so so tempting.
It’s a quarter to five in the morning and god forbids, I’m still wide fucking awake. Time difference recently fucked with my sleeping schedule immensely. They said closeness has nothing to do with distance. I beg to differ. Anyway once exhaustion runs its course, I guess death comes eventually... Just a matter of time, just a matter of time.
We’d said we’d keep in touch. But touch is not something you can do from a distance. Touch is not something you can keep; as soon as it’s gone, it’s gone. We should have said we’d keep in words, because they are all we have, at least for now.
Quote of the day: They say you don’t get over someone until you find someone or something better. As humans, we don’t deal well with emptiness. Any empty space must be filled. Immediately. The pain of emptiness is too strong. It compels the victim to fill that place. A single moment with that empty spot causes excruciating pain. That’s why we run from distraction to distraction—and from attachment to attachment.– Yasmin Mogahed
