And here it is
I am writing this while still stroking the smooth back of my beautiful new Macbook. I can't get over the exquisitely simplicity of its slim aluminium body. I don't know how other people treat their Apple purchases as daily gesture, because as a substitute for buying a Mac, I could buy a normal PC and a house instead. Maybe because I’ve waited for this for 2 years, also this is my first ever laptop, also the last of my parents’ money. Having ownership to something as dazzling as this just makes everything feel kinda unreal. It’s almost like a sense of completeness and fulfilment, like all the troubles in the world just magically disappeared and there’s nothing but me and my Macbook. I know that sounded extremely hyperbolic and over the top yet it’s exactly what I’m feeling. It’s ridiculous how much emotion an inanimate object could evoke from me…
I feel so peaceful, like that picture. All I want is to snuggle up with a cup of hot chocolate and watch Revenge and 90210, and all 17 movies I’ve downloaded but have not got time to watch. But nooooo, exams are in 3 weeks, so buckle the fuck up.
Quote of the day: “Date yourself. Take yourself out to eat. Don’t share your popcorn at the movies with anyone. Stroll around an art museum alone. Fall in love with canvases. Fall in love with yourself.”
