New York

"Has it ever occurred to you that you could change your life right this second if you really wanted to?  you could stand up and yell at your teacher if you wanted to, you could place yourself in a life or death situation if you wanted, you could even take that risk and just spontaneously and passionately kiss the one you really love by surprise.  you could change the entire outcome of our lives, and if our lives are really as bad as we say they are, why won’t we take those chances."

Isn't it incredible? Our lives are our choices, there's no such thing as destiny. I've been spending all morning researching on SAT and universities in the US. When you want something this bad, you don't simply give up.  I just need you to believe in me, one day I will end up in New York.
I’ve often read and heard the question what New York means to any random person. The answer is always a different one. There is one thing though, that never changes. New York means life. It means feeling alive, feeling the lives around you and it means feeling the life that is going to come. The way you feel the first time you’re in Manhattan… that’s a thing that you have never felt before. It makes you realize something. It makes you realize that at any given moment in your life, you are just the thing you are in that moment. There are a million different paths that could have led you there and much more importantly, there are a million different paths you could go from there. Now, you might have known this before, but that is the moment you actually realize it. It hits you that what might happen to you is unpredictable and that the possibilities are endless. It hits you that you could do anything and go anywhere right that minute and that those might all be places you’ve never even dreamed of before, that you’ve never imagined. And you realize that there are ten million people around you who are exactly the same. A life is made up of so many small and great moments, gestures, decisions that you can never fully know it, even if it is your own. So, New York is life. It is filled with possibility and filled with failure and filled with love and hate and a thousand other things. But you will never know all of them at once. At any moment, you can only be one thing, but there is nothing keeping you from being completely different in the very next. That is New York.

I fall in love with cities I've never been to and people I've never met.
